PPA ORIGINATION MANAGER

The Power Purchase Agreement Originations Manager will be responsible for originating, structuring and negotiating Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) contracts in the US market, with a focus on solar PV and battery storage. The PPA Originations Manager will be responsible for coordinating between the company, its customers, and the utilities. The Originations Manager will also be responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions of the PPAs, as well as managing the entire lifecycle of the contracts.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and utilities to ensure successful negotiation and execution of PPA terms.

  • Negotiate PPA terms and conditions with customers and utilities, including pricing, duration, and other associated contractual terms.

  • Ensure that all PPAs are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

  • Manage the entire PPA lifecycle, from origination to execution.

  • Monitor and analyze the PPA market, including trends and regulatory changes, to ensure that the company is well positioned to capitalize on opportunities.

  • Develop a deep understanding of the company’s customers and their needs, and structure custom-tailored PPAs to meet their individual needs.

  • Develop and maintain a database of customers and their associated PPAs to ensure that the company is well positioned to capitalize on opportunities.

  • Manage and coordinate the execution of PPAs with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Track and report on the performance of PPAs, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Prepare and present presentations to internal and external stakeholders on the status of PPAs

  • Provide support to the sales team in developing and executing PPA strategies.

  • Work closely with the legal and finance departments to ensure that all PPAs are structured and executed in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures.

Who You are

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in structuring and negotiating PPAs.

  • Experience with Xcel Energy and Tri-State utilities is a plus.

  • Familiarity with the US electricity market and regulatory framework.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Ability to think strategically and make sound business decisions
